There are too many to list them all, but we’ve made things a little easier by combing through the backlogs of add-ons to find the very best.
There are a lot of great downloadable DayZ mods that have come out, some of which substantially overhaul and improve the game. Despite the Arma Engine showing its age, it’s doing well and the Community has continued to support the game even if its original creator has disappeared to do other things. So to ease you into it here are some that are worth trying out. With such a vast catalog of player-created content to choose from, it can be a little intimidating to take those first steps into putting mods in DayZ. The modding community in that time has also been incredibly busy with tons of creative and unique mods being released that add new elements to the game with base building, deeper realistic survival mechanics, additional zombie varieties, and plenty more. Being the paranoid person I am, I started to become concerned that I may have unknowingly opened myself up to some security risks though after researching the forums I see the main concern with these items is focused around compromising the integrity of the game and its legit-ness.RELATED: Games That Fell Apart In Early Access Swept up in the excitement, I picked up these items and it wasn’t until after I equipped these items that I noticed the peculiar nature of them and their generic labeling like “Fissure” or “Torch” to name a couple. Two players had joined and began flooding the screen with primals and triple socketed jewels, not to mention emailing me tons of gold and other items. A good part of this is most likely because I spent most of my time in Seasonal play but due to the preseason break I jumped into the normal adventure mode. I have been playing Diablo 3 a few months now and curiously it wasn’t until last night I had a run in with modded gear.
